At the Craft and Hobbie Association Convention in Anaheim, CA I had the honor of meeting Mary Engelbreit!!! Wow, what a thrill; can you tell I was giddy with excitement?!! She was such a sweet woman and was very understanding that thousands love her and her work and are beside themselves with joy to meet her...
After I took this picture, I had to call my sister and Mom to tell them -- You'll never guess who I just met! They were as surprised as I was, since we are all big fans of her work... I never in a million years thought I would ever get the opportunity to meet the wonderful ME...
And now I have a little poster signed by ME.Thanks Barb!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo lucky!! I'm happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for being thrilled! I would have been, too!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I just wanted to stop by and express my sincere appreciation for the comment you left on the Femininity Revisited blog. I agree wholeheartedly with your comment about women being particularly designed to take a "support" role and that women were not designed to deal with the stress of the working world. Far too few people would have the courage to say that today and I truly admire your speaking out for the truth.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you were having a wonderful time! Makes you feel giddy to actually meet and greet someone you admire, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
Jean Hall
p.s. Thanks for stopping by /My Conversations With God/.
I love her!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so sorry I haven't been by in a few weeks... well, more than a few weeks. Good to see we're both still here! God bless!
