Ever since visiting my sister, I've been inspired to take some time to enjoy a little tea time. So when I got home, I got out a tray and my pretty tea cup from my sweet Grandma and my thrift store teapot. My beautiful niece gave me the knit doily dishcloth, but I couldn't bring myself to use it to do the dishes. I'd rather appreciate it's loveliness as I sip my tea and think of what a loving family I am blessed to have in my life...

Oh... teapot on a doily and drinking from a china teacup... I was actually thinking about doing that today!! I have two of my grandmother's teacups that she got as bridal shower gifts in '58. Every now and then she goes on a cleaning spree and gives me a couple. Anyways, great minds must think alike!

Beautiful! ♥
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty blue and white composition. I do love to enjoy my tea with a pretty cup and pot. Yesterday morning when I woke it was quite cold so I dragged my little down comforter to my sewing room. I filled my "Mrs. Tea" pot and poured it into the machine instead of going downstairs where it was even colder to make tea.
ReplyDeleteShortly after I began reading I heard a dripping sound coming from the direction of the contraption. The water was not going into the pot!!! It appeared to be oozing from cracks and going all over. I quickly grabbbed a towel and sopped up the hot liquid. After inspecting the device I found that a little water regulator thing had been moved into a position that allowed the least flow possible. Once it was in the correct position what was left flowed into the pot and I was able to enjoy my early morning cup of tea!!
This was supposed to be so convenient! I think I like my regular tea pots better.
